Abundance Farming is a farm-organizing principle that prioritizes meeting the food needs of the farmers first and only going to the local market to sell the abundance, or whatever is not needed for consumption by the farming family or community.
The traditional concept of Subsistence Farming might be similar, however subsistence has a pejorative connotation of 'bare subsistence', or survival, whereas Abundance Farming focuses on the positive aspect of creating abundance through the retention of value on the farm.
