While Organic farming generally defines what cannot be done or what inputs cannot be used, the Beyond Organic movement attempts to establish positive goals and to refine best practices. Rather than focusing simply on prohibiting what's not good, the beyond organic concept tries to endorse what is good. This movement seeks to maximize quality in food production by a focus on soil fertility and plant and animal health which leads to nutrient density and flavor.
