Jacob Springs Farm raises lamb for the locker trade and for the meat CSA
Typically 30-50 young lambs are purchased in the spring at auction or from a local farmer and raised on grass until slaughter in the late fall. A lamb nearing a year old which weighs 120-140 lbs will dress out as a 70-80lb carcass.
