Rotational grazing refers to a pattern of grazing where animals move from grazing area to grazing area according to various criteria. As such it is a very broad category and may or may not be regenerative in nature depending on the details. In some systems labeled "rotational grazing" pastures are grazed for long periods exceeding a month before animals are rotated to new pasture. In this scenario, while the rotation might be enough to ward off the worst aspects of overgrazing, the grazing pattern will not achieve the benefits that true regenerative grazing can.
