Agro-industry, the dominant agricultural paradigm in the 21st century, is the large-scale production, processing, and packaging of food, fiber and energy using modern equipment, agro-chemicals including biocides and industrial methods.
Agro-industrial farming is typically degenerative to it's environment and relies on depleting natural resources such as energy, soil fertility and biodiversity.
