Jacob Springs Farm takes a permaculture approach to growing herbs. Herbs are planted on edges all around the farm especially on my the outside of fenced pastures and in between fruit trees.
Currently these types of plantings include
Oregano Marjoram Chives Anise hyssop Sage ('extracta') Fennel (perennial) Horseradish Lemonbalm Thyme Tarragon Echinacea Yarrow Chinese chives Sunset hyssop
Lavender (failed?)
