Jacob Springs Farm takes a permaculture approach to growing herbs. Herbs are planted on edges all around the farm especially on the outside of fenced pastures and in between fruit trees.

The herbs are occasionally harvested and sold fresh to restaurants or used in cooking. Herbs are also harvested and dried for future use.

Currently these types of plantings include
