One of Jacob Springs Farm designed and built topbar hives made out of entirely salvaged wood, in this case cedar siding from an old barn.
Jacob Springs Farm builds and sells Andre Houssney's topbar beehive design.
The hives are built with entirely salvaged materials, aside from fasteners and glue. They are available in pine with no window, sold for $200, pine with a window - $250, And cedar with window, for $350.
Orders must be placed up in advance and picked up at the farm.
